Hemedicus is an independent ACCME accredited continuing medical education company based in Westwood, NJ, that specializes in hematology, oncology, and immunology. The Hemedicus staff is comprised of professionals with backgrounds that include academic science, medical education project management, and publishing. In addition, we have close working relationships with field leaders, journal editors, and medical societies. Consequently, Hemedicus brings a unique perspective and an unmatched knowledge base to its many educational projects.
Hemedicus designs its educational opportunities to fill the learning gaps created by the fast pace of advances in medical and scientific knowledge. We execute stand-alone conferences and workshops, many of which take place at major national medical meetings. We have worked with other sponsoring organizations, both nonprofit and commercial, to create accredited educational materials. Hemedicus is involved from concept to finished product. We produce monographs, webcasts, podcasts, slide kits, CD-ROMs, and other print, electronic, and web-based materials.
Our staff has worked with the following CME sponsors: Albert Einstein College of Medicine; Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University; Johns Hopkins School of Medicine; MedStar Georgetown Medical Center; Mount Sinai School of Medicine; University of Washington School of Pharmacy; and Weill Medical College of Cornell University, among others.
The Hemedicus staff has experience with satellite symposia, stand-alone meetings, and other meetings that are CME accredited and produce postprogram CME enduring materials. We manage every aspect of the meeting, from inception to completion and evaluation. Our staff completes the CME applications; plans the agenda; invites leaders in the field to participate; creates and sends invitations; and develops and prints the accompanying enduring materials. We also choose an appropriate venue and arrange transportation, hotel stays, and meal functions.
